Air and acoustic environment monitoring in urban areas

Noise isolation and abatement is important in growing urban environments. Lahti has multiple quiet areas which are also easily accessible from the city centre. Lahti first mapped the quiet areas in 2010, and the coverage is monitored every four years as part of the master plan process. Air-quality monitoring is underway in several locations, and we have a targeted e-service for bad air quality days. The data collected is open and available to all.
